A not too cultivated surrounding sculptures look at their best. Of course it helps greatly when the surface, on which they are installed, does not have disturbing protruding growth. Since this field consists of soil, grass is a good surface on which to exhibit sculptures. And when there is bedrock showing, that could also be a good base for sculpture - see "lasso", which sculpture is behind the left apple tree on a protruding surface of the bedrock, which is everywhere under the surface of Finland. Another example of a sculpture on a promontory is "gothic", which is now permanently installed in a park in Erfurt, Germany., It would initially have been placed near Witterda on  a high protruding chalk cliff. But at the time Witterda lost its affiliation with Erfurt and became part of Gotha - now wouldn't that have been a fitting place for "gothic" to have been installed?
